Our delegation of the Department of Preventive and Emergency Cardiology under the Institute of Vocational Education has participated in three major international events: Second Sino-Russian Conference of Young Scientists on Heart Diseases, Eighth Sino-Russian Conference on Medicine and Pharmacology, Sixth Sino-Russian Conference on Heart Disease in the Cold Climatic Zone.
Sechenov First MSMU researchers were invited by the Chinese party within the framework of the partnership of the Sino-Russian Association of Medical Universities (SRAMU).
The Sechenovsky University delegation was headed by Professor Philipp Kopylov, who presented his report “Preconditioning as a treatment approach in cardiology” within the Basic and Translational Medicine Forum report, which aroused great interest among our Chinese colleagues.
Assistant Professor of Preventive Cardiology and Emergency Dmitry Schekochikhin presented his work “Hyponatremia and worsening renal function in decompensated heart failure” for the young scientists contest Appraisal of Youth Excellent Papers, and it was also highly appreciated by the experts and won the certified first place.
Our Chinese colleagues displayed great interest in the results of any researches by Sechenovsky University scientists. The Russian delegation discussed the grant options to conduct some joint research, technical aspects of the problem and the preliminary schedule. This business trip appeared to be much productive for Russian scientists, because lots of professional contacts with foreign colleagues, accompanied with exchange of experiences, were established, however.
The members of the delegation expressed gratitude to the First MSMU rector Peter Glybochko for this opportunity of exchanging experiences with international colleagues within the event of such scientific significance.
