Department of Public Health and Healthcare named after N.A. Semashko – one of the leading in the medical-preventive faculty. Highly qualified specialists are involved in the work at the department, with great experience in research and teaching, high scientific and creative potential. Employees of the department work at the undergraduate level with students of 2-6 courses of medical, dental, preventive and other faculties. Teaching foreign students is conducted in English.

Employees of the department work at the undergraduate level with students of 3-5 courses of medical, dental, preventive and other faculties, CIOP “Medicine of the Future” in teaching the disciplines “Public Health and Health Care”, “Health Economics”, “Health Management” and others , participate in the development of working curricula and teaching materials for these disciplines. Specialists are also being trained for practical health care and scientific and pedagogical personnel in internship, residency and postgraduate studies. Teaching foreign students is conducted in the form of seminars and lectures in English.

Scientific work is actively conducted on the most topical areas of public health (personnel management, modern problems of prevention and public health promotion, public health management, medico-social aspects of a healthy lifestyle, historical aspects of the formation and development of the public health system, modern problems of organizing medical and social and palliative care, topical issues of disability and medical and social rehabilitation, the study of the role of nursing staff in the provision of medical help to the population).
