The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology №1 at I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University provides a comprehensive educational, methodical, medical, and research program for students, interns, clinical interns, and graduate students.

The department offers the discipline of Obstetrics and Gynecology to students of 4th, 5th, and 6th courses of the medical faculty, foreign students, 4-year students of the dental faculty, and the faculty of “medicine of the future.” The department follows a standard work program and a standard curriculum approved by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation on Obstetrics and Gynecology. The work program and work plan are developed in accordance with the requirements of the State educational standard in the specialty “General Medicine” discipline “Obstetrics and Gynecology.”

The department has developed a list of compulsory practical skills for students in Obstetrics and Gynecology, set out in the “Working curriculum.” The work program and work plan for the discipline of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the specialty “medical business” were approved by the Academic Council of the medical faculty.

The department provides illustrative materials such as tables, posters, phantoms (simulators), dolls, basins, instruments, and videos (cesarean section in modern obstetrics, physiology, and pathology of the cervix uterus, modern methods of research in gynecology, diagnosis, and treatment of urgent conditions in gynecology).

The department has several clinical bases with sufficient bed capacity to conduct a quality educational process in the clinical discipline of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The department provides a quality educational process to students of 4th, 5th, and 6th courses of medical, foreign, and dental faculties, clinical residents, interns, and graduate students.
